Turkey Club Sliders

November 6, 2023

Okay, now when I say that these Turkey Club Sliders were INCREDIBLE, you best believe it! I made them while my husband and son and I were watching football over the weekend. And they disappeared so quick! The slight sweetness of the King’s Hawaiian Rolls paired with the smoky bacon, as well as everything else these mini sandwiches have going on – PERFECTION! I am a sandwich lover. Often times I do not want a full dinner so I am happy to make myself a sandwich. There are just so many combinations you can make. And not having to use silverware to eat is another bonus lol. So when I whipped these up the other day, I knew they deserved a spot on my blog! They will be a regular thing in our household and if you make them, I am guessing they will be in yours too!

What Is Needed to Make Turkey Club Sliders?

  • (1) 12 Count Package of King’s Hawaiian Roll
  • 1 lb of Bacon
  • 1/2 lb of Sliced Deli Turkey
  • Mayonnaise – Roughly 1/2 Cup
  • 6 Slices of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 Cups of Chopped up Lettuce – I used half of one head of lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of Everything Bagel Seasoning – optional as a topping

How To Make Turkey Club Sliders:

Start by cooking your bacon. I like to make mine in the oven. I place it on a rimmed cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. then I bake it at 400 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes. No flipping is required and it comes out perfect every time! Feel free to use whatever method you prefer though!

While the bacon is cooking remove the rolls from the package and cut then in half lengthwise. This is best done using a long serrated knife. Take your time to make sure you cut them evenly. Then place the bottom rolls in the oven safe tray they came in. Yes it is oven safe! If you don’t feel comfortable using that, just place them in a greased baking dish. Spread some mayo on them and bake at 400 for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

Now you are going to chop up the lettuce. Add it to a bowl, then mix in a couple tablespoons of mayonnaise and this Beano Submarine dressing. If you cannot find this dressing, you can use a mix of Olive Oil, vinegar, basil and oregano. Or you can omit it all together. Then you want to slice up 2-3 tomatoes as well. I used Roma but any kind will work!

When the rolls come out of the oven, top them with the cheese slices, the turkey and the bacon. Then place the top rolls on. Brush them with the melted butter and onion powder, then sprinkle with the Everything Bagel seasoning. Place them back in the oven for 5-7 minutes. All oven times vary, so check them after a few minutes. I got distracted and mine went a bit long but they were fine! It just doesn’t take long for bread to burn!

When they are done, remove the top rolls and put the lettuce and tomatoes on. Place the top rolls back on. Slice them up and enjoy! That is all there is to it!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Bacon
  • 1 12 Count Package King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise, divided
  • 3 Cups Chopped Lettuce, approximately half of one head of lettuce
  • 2-3 Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 tbs Beano's Submarine Dressing optional, see notes below
  • 6 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 lb Sliced Deli Turkey
  • 2 tbs Salted Butter, melted
  • 1 tbs Onion Powder
  • 1-2 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay bacon on it and bake it for about 20-25 minutes or to desired doneness. Drain on a paper towel lined plate and set it aside.
  • Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Spread the bottom rolls with about 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. (If you do not like the thought of using mayonnaise, use butter or skip this part.) Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While the rolls are in the oven, cut up your lettuce and tomatoes. Put the lettuce in a bowl and mix with about 2-3 tablespoons of mayo and about 1-2 tablespoons of the Submarine Dressing.
  • When the bottom rolls are done, top them with the cheese slices, the turkey and the bacon. Place the top rolls on and brush with the melted butter mixed with the onion powder and the Everything Bagel Seasoning. Put them back in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  • When they are done, remove the top rolls and put the lettuce and tomatoes on. Put the top rolls back on, slice them up and enjoy!

Notes

These are best when eaten right away. I do not recommend making them more than 30 minutes to 1 hour before you are planning on eating.
If you do not want to heat this up at all, they would also be great cold!
If you cannot find the submarine dressing, use 1 tbs of olive oil, a splash of vinegar and about 1/2 teaspoon each of dried basil and oregano. Or you can omit that completely.
