I will admit that this one might sound a bit strange, but these Grilled Cheese Sloppy Joe Sliders were actually incredibly delicious! I made them for dinner for my husband, two of my kids and I last Sunday night. And we crushed them! I almost didn’t even bother recording because I wasn’t sure how they would turn out. But I am glad I decided to turn the camera on. They only took about 20 minutes to throw together and the ingredients are very simple! Very similar to my viral Sloppy Joes on Texas Toast recipe. The main difference is the sweetness of the Hawaiian Rolls in contrast to the garlic bread. But both recipes are great! And while you are here, check out these other great recipes too.

How to Make Grilled Cheese Sloppy Joe Sliders
This is just a summary. The full, printable recipe is below. Brown ground beef with some diced onions and peppers and minced garlic. Once it is cooked, drain the grease. Add in tomato paste, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Mix it well and let it simmer on low.
Cut a 12-count package of King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half. Spread mayonnaise or butter on the insides of the rolls. In a non-stick skillet, grill the top rolls over medium heat until toasted.
Put the bottom rolls in the pan and top with a layer of sliced cheese. (I used colby jack but any kind you like is fine!). Top the cheese with the meat and then put the top buns on. Turn off the heat and put a lid on until the cheese is completely melted.
They can be a little tricky getting out of the pan, but if you use non-stick you should be able to slide them out!
Once you have them out of the pan, just slice them up and enjoy!
