Ingredients:

  •  For the Rolls:
  • 1 package (12 count) King’s Hawaiian original sweet rolls
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • For the Cream Cheese Filling:
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg

Directions:

This is just a summary, the full recipe is below. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place the King’s Hawaiian rolls in the dish. Carefully cut a small square in the top of each roll and gently pull out some of the bread, ensuring not to cut the bottom of the rolls. If you are wondering what I do with the inside of the rolls, we just eat them!  In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well until combined.
Brush this mixture generously over the tops and insides of each roll, ensuring they are well-coated.

Next, you will prepare the cream cheese filling. In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add the granulated sugar and egg, mixing until creamy and well-blended. Carefully fill each roll with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring a generous amount in each cavity. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden and the cream cheese filling is set.
