Smoked BBQ Party Ribs

Smoked BBQ Party Ribs

Smoked BBQ Party Ribs have been trending on TikTok for a while now. And I finally decided to try them over Father’s Day weekend and they were a HUGE HIT with my family! They were so moist and tender and fell right off the bone. That is how we like them, so if you like them with a bit of a “snap” when you bite into them, you can just reduce the cooking time. Now ribs are nothing new, and people are passionate about their own recipes. Understandably so! I have never entered a competition, I only make them for friends and family. The difference with these Smoked BBQ Party Ribs is that you cut them into individual pieces before cooking. This is a lot more convenient and much less of a mess when trying to cut them after cooking. It only adds about 10 minutes of additional prep but cuts down cooking time by 2-3 hours!

How To Make BBQ Party Ribs

This is just a summary, the full recipe is below. I made this recipe using baby back ribs, but spare ribs will also work great! The first step is to remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This is easiest to do by sticking your fingers underneath it and prying it loose, then using napkins to hold it and pull it off. Then cut them into individual ribs between each bone.

Season them well with your favorite BBQ Rub. Any kind will work, just be careful to use one with little to no salt. This is the flavor I used and we really liked it.

Preheat your smoker (or oven) to 250 degrees. Cook the ribs for about 2 hours or until they reach a temp of 165 degrees. Take them off the grill and place in a foil pan.

Now cover them with your favorite BBQ Sauce. Add a small amount of DR. Pepper into the pan (about 1/2 cup). Sprinkle some brown sugar on the ribs, then top with some pats of butter. Cover with foil and cook for about 1 more hour. They should be very tender at this point! Serve hot and enjoy!
