Quick and Easy Broccoli and Cheese

I love broccoli and luckily so does the rest of my family! So I don’t normally drown it in cheese, but when I am feeling like indulging a bit, this is the cheese sauce I like to use. It is quick and really simple to make. And it could be used for a wide variety of other vegetables as well! Try it with asparagus, cauliflower or literally any vegetable you like. It is also good with some crumbled bacon bits thrown on top. This is also great over a Baked Potato. No matter what, I am sure it will be a hit with kids and adults alike! Let me show you just how easy it is to make this Quick and Easy Broccoli and Cheese!

This is just a summary. The full recipe is listed below. To make the broccoli, I just steam it for about 3-4 minutes. Put it in a pan with about 1 cup of water. Put the lid on and cook on medium high heat. Depending on how well done you like yours, you can cook it for longer. 3-4 minutes will just slightly soften it.

For the cheese sauce, mix together 1 cup of milk with 1 tbsp of cornstarch. Pour it into a skillet and whisk over medium heat until it thickens up. Turn the heat to low and stir in the cheeses and whisk until smooth and creamy. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
And that is all there is to it! It really couldn’t get much easier!
