Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Bold Cajun Flavor – With spicy Italian sausage, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, and red pepper flakes, you get heat, garlic, and smoky depth in every bite.
- Creamy, Cheesy Goodness – Parmesan melts right into the sauce for a silky finish, and Asiago or Romano make excellent swaps.
- Weeknight Friendly – Fast enough for busy nights but impressive enough to serve guests.
- Make Ahead + Freezer Friendly – This pasta reheats beautifully, so you can meal prep or stash away leftovers.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red onion, diced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp Mrs. Dash Ultimate Garlic Blend (or your favorite garlic seasoning)
- 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning (or Cajun seasoning of choice)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (Asiago or Romano also work!)
- 25 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage, bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until the sausage is browned and veggies are softened. Sprinkle in garlic blend, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to coat everything in those bold flavors.

Pour in broth and heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.

Cook ravioli according to package directions. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining.

Lastly, stir ravioli and reserved pasta water into the skillet. Toss gently until coated in sauce. Let it simmer on low 10–15 minutes to thicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of fresh parsley, if desired. Enjoy your Creamy Cajun Sausage Ravioli!

Tips, Variations & Swaps
- Cheese Options – Parmesan is classic, but Asiago or Romano add a nuttier bite.
- Spice Level – Tone it down by cutting the red pepper flakes in half or skipping them altogether. Want it hotter? Add a pinch of cayenne.
- Protein Swap – Not into sausage? Try chicken, shrimp, or even smoked sausage for a different twist.
- Veggie Boost – Mushrooms, spinach, or zucchini would be great additions.

Notes

- Make Ahead – Cook the sauce a day in advance. When ready to serve, boil ravioli fresh and toss it in the reheated sauce.
- Storage – Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container up to 4 days.
- Reheating – Warm gently on the stove with a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
- Freezing – Freeze in freezer-safe containers up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.

Winner, whole family loved it! I’m not a super duper spicy person so I used half the amount of red pepper flakes, and instead of 1 tsp of the “Hot” Slap Ya Mama, I did half tsp of that and a half tsp of the original Cajun seasoning. Delicious!
I am so happy to hear that, Chris! Thank you for the review!
