This slow cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken is easy to prepare, delicious, and can be used in a multitude of recipes! It’s great for BBQ chicken pizza, nachos, and toppings for baked potatoes and Mac and Cheese! We especially like it for sandwiches. I love making chicken in the crockpot because it always results in extremely flavorful and juicy chicken. It can also be made in a pressure cooker!

It is so easy to make, you just dump everything in the crockpot, set it and forget it! This is perfect for parties (just double or triple the recipe), and also perfect for those busy nights when you want dinner ready for you when you get home!

Ingredients for Crockpot BBQ Pulled Chicken (Easy Recipe):

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, with the fat trimmed off
  • (1) 16 oz bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 1 small diced green pepper
  • 2 tbs of butter
  • Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Black Pepper and Brown Sugar

How to make this Crockpot BBQ Pulled Chicken (Easy Recipe)

Simply mix everything together in your crockpot. Add the chicken and season it. Spoon the sauce on top of the chicken. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours! It really is that simple!

When it is finished cooking, you can shred it up right in the crockpot using a hand mixer or two forks. I usually like to transfer to my stand mixer because it makes less mess, but I tried this paper plate method and it also worked well.

Pile it high on a toasted bun with some melted provolone cheese and pickles and enjoy!

A quick and easy dump and go recipe for delicious BBQ Pulled Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Boneless skinless chicken, breasts or thighs
  • 18 oz Bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced

Seasoning for Chicken

  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • 2 tbs Brown Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot and sprinkle with the seasonings listed.
  • Stir together the rest of the ingredients and pour over the chicken.
  • Cook on high for2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours, or until chicken is thoroughly cooked to an internal temp of 165 degrees.
  • Shred the chicken when it is finished cooking.

Notes

This can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
