Creamy Cajun Sausage Ravioli

Spicy Italian sausage, peppers, and garlic simmered in a Cajun-spiced Parmesan cream sauce, tossed with tender cheese ravioli. Big flavor, ultra-creamy, and on the table in about 35 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Large Red Onion, diced
  • 6-7 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Mrs Dash Ultimate Garlic Blend or any of your favorite garlic blends
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama Hot Seasoning or any cajun seasoning of your choice
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/4 Cup Beef or Chicken Broth
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 3/4-1 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan
  • 25 oz Bag of Frozen Cheese Ravioli
  • 1/4 Cup Reserved Pasta Water

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage, peppers, onion, and garlic. Stir in garlic blend, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes and cook until the meat is thoroughly cooked.
  • Add broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan; stir until melted and creamy.
  • Cook ravioli according to package directions, reserving ¼ cup pasta water.
  • Add ravioli and pasta water to skillet; toss to coat.
  • Simmer on low 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

Notes

Make Ahead, Storage & Freezing

  • Make Ahead – Cook the sauce a day in advance. When ready to serve, boil ravioli fresh and toss it in the reheated sauce.
  • Storage – Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container up to 4 days.
  • Reheating – Warm gently on the stove with a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
  • Freezing – Freeze in freezer-safe containers up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
