A while back I made some Honey Garlic Parmesan Chicken Thighs and they were so absolutely delicious! I wanted to make them again the other night but didn’t want to turn on my oven (it was nearly 100 degrees outside!). So I decided to put a little spin on them and make them into skewers in my air fryer. And they DID NOT DISAPPONT! In fact, I cannot decide which method I liked better. But the point is that both are great so let’s get into the recipe!

How to Make Honey Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers:
To begin, you will cut your boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts into 1 inch pieces. If using thighs like I did, try to trim off as much excess fat as possible.
Transfer them to a mixing bowl. And then you will start the marinade, which consists of olive oil, minced garlic, honey, dried paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, freshly grated parmesan cheese, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Precise measurements will be on the recipe card below.
Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to marinate for at least an hour. You could also do this in a large plastic ziploc bag.
While the chicken is marinating, soak your wooden skewers in water. This is done so that they do not catch on fire! After the chicken has marinated for at least 1 hour, remove them from the fridge, and place them on the skewers. You want to pack them on there pretty tightly! Place them in a preheated 400 degree air fryer. I lined mine with parchment paper at the bottom to catch the juices! Cook for about 12 minutes, then flip, cooking for another 5-8 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165 degrees!
For the Buttery Sauce:
While the chicken is cooking, mix together some butter softened to room temperature with minced garlic, honey, freshly grated parmesan cheese and dried parsley flakes. You want this to be the consistency of a very soft serve ice cream!
Now that the chicken is done and you have that butter topping mixture whipped up, all you have to do is brush that all over each skewer! Be very generous! And that is all there is to it! Absolutely heavenly!!
I served these over some jasmine rice and some lightly sauteed asparagus and this meal was a huge success at my house! My husband said it needs to be on a weekly rotation! I think next time I make them I will have to try them on our smoker!

Really, really good! We made these kabobs on the grill last week and were blown away by how tender, juicy, and flavorful the chicken was! We’re doing them again next weekend for friends. Going into our rotation and will definitely try them in the air fryer when grilling isn’t an option.
