Crockpot Chicken and Noodles

One of my very favorite meals is a big bowl of homemade Chicken and Noodles (recipe coming soon!)! But it is a rather time-consuming recipe and I just don’t have the time to make them very often. But that is okay, because these Crockpot Chicken and Noodles are ALMOST just as good and take VERY LITTLE effort to make! So when I need my fix, but do not want to spend the time making them from scratch, this recipe is always a win! I posted a video for these several weeks ago on my social media channels and have received a ton of great feedback! So if you need proof that these are as good as I say, check out the comments on the video below and then go make them!

How to Make Crockpot Chicken and Noodles

Start by seasoning 1 lb of boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs with some of this Kinders The Blend Seasoning. Or you can use garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper.

Crockpot Chicken and Noodles

In the crockpot, mix together a 26 oz can of cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, some dried parsley, black pepper and this Kinders Roast Chicken and Herbs Seasoning. Do not worry if you can’t find that seasoning. You can use any variety of seasonings that you like!

After you have that mixed up, place the seasoned chicken in and make sure it is covered by the liquid. Place the lid on and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-7. When it is finished, shred or chop up the chicken. Whichever you prefer.

Now add in a 24 oz bag of Reames Frozen Egg Noodles. (If you cannot find these, you can use any other type of egg noodles. Please note though, that I have not tested any in the crockpot and I do not know how they would turn out.) Stir the chicken back in as well, and cook for another hour or until the noodles are fully cooked and the soup is thickened up. Salt to taste if needed.

My favorite way to serve these is over mashed potatoes with a veggie on the side. When I made this recipe, I had neither of those, so we had them with some biscuits! Delicious!

    1. Defrost your chicken. Frozen chicken in a crockpot will leave it in the “danger zone” temperature range for too long. The crockpot simply doesn’t get it hot enough, fast enough.

  1. I tried and tried to use your recipe but he ads wouldn’t stop so I couldn’t even print it. Booo!

I recommend to those who don’t have the option of frozen noodles, just to cook noodles on the side. I know that slightly defeats the purpose of a crockpot meal, but we tried adding dried egg noodles to the crockpot, and I had to keep adding liquid and they ended up a bit gummy. The meal was still very good, but if you don’t want mushy noodles, cook them separately. Can’t speak for frozen ones though.

Love this recipe! I have made it a couple times now and always a crowd pleaser for everyone from 3 to 88. This fall I am making it for the harvest crews and going to add extra noodles so it is thicker.

    1. I am sure the harvest crews will be very grateful for that! So glad everyone has loved the recipe! Thank you so much for leaving a review!

I just made this. The chicken is so tender. Can cut with a fork.
I cooked noodles and drain and just warm up for 1/2 hr. It’s perfect.

This is an absolute favorite in our house!! I make up my own homemade cream of chicken soup, VERY easy to do and doesn’t take but 10 minutes max, and I add in a bag of frozen mixed veggies with the bag of frozen noodles and it’s DELICIOUS!!! Love making this as it’s VERY easy and absolutely amazing!!!

  6. Have you tried it with an instapot? If so what alterations would you make with how long to cook the noodles.

    1. I don’t use an instapot very often and I have not tried this recipe so I apologize but I would not know the timing for this.
