Party Pizza Dip

I am just going to preface this recipe by saying that “I KNOW it is not healthy!” It is full of cheese and processed meats, but it is meant to be shared with a crowd! I take it to parties where there will be plenty of people, so it is not being consumed by just a few. However, if you are super health-conscious, then this is definitely not for you. But if you like pizza, and you have friends that like pizza, and if you need an idea for a party dip, this is a great option!

In a skillet, brown 1 lb of Italian sausage.

Once the sausage is cooked, add in 1 block of cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar and 1 cup of shredded parmesan.

Mix that together. The cheeses don’t need to be melted because we will be putting this in the oven.

Spread into a 9×11 baking dish and season with oregano.

Top with some mozzarella cheese.

And finish it off with some pepperoni slices.

Bake at 400 degrees until the cheese is melted and the pepperoni is crispy.

Serve with a sturdy chip or cracker for dipping. I like these pita chips, but bagel chips also work great!

Notes

There are a lot of ways to customize this recipe to your liking. You can use a combination of different cheeses, you can add veggies, different meats, etc. I try to keep it simple because the only time I make it is for parties and you never really know who likes what on their pizza.
This can also be transferred to a crockpot instead of a baking dish. You would add the mozzarella and pepperoni and cook on low  for approximately 1 hour.
To keep it warm if you are taking it to a party ( and you are not using a crockpot), I have a plug-in thermal warmer that I use!
