3loavesFrench or Italian BreadI recommend buying the fresh made bread from the store bakery
1BlockCream Cheese, softened
1/2CupMayonnaise
1/2 CupSour Cream
4Garlic Cloves, minced
1CupSmoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
1CupSharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
8ozArtichoke Hearts, drained and chopped
10ozPackage of frozen Spinach, thawed and drained
1tspRed Pepper Flakes, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients (except the bread) until it is a smooth and creamy consistency. I used a stand mixer, but a hand mixer or even a spoon will work just fine!
Slice the bread loaves in half and evenly distribute a thick layer of the mixture on each one.
Place on a foil or parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. It is done when the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly crusty.
Slice it up and enjoy!
Notes
The dip mixture can be prepared the day before, and stored in the fridge in an airtight container. You will need to let it come to room temperature before spreading it on the bread, or it will be way too hard to spread. If you want, you can omit the bread and use this as a dip. Just prepare everything the same, but put it in an 8x11 baking dish and bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. If you are transporting this somewhere, place it in a large pan and cover with aluminum foil.
