Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 13.5 oz Package of Polish Kielbasa Sausage
  • 2 tbs Salted Butter
  • 1 lb Yukon Gold Potates, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Yellow Onion, diced
  • 2 Cups Sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tbs Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbs Onion Powder
  • 1 tbs Slap Ya Mama or any cajun seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt 1 tbs of the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until crispy and caramelized. Remove from the pan and set aside.
    3. Melt the other tbs of butter and add the potatoes, bell pepper and the onion. Season with the spices listed above, put the lid on and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    4. Add the sausage and the sauerkraut, mix it up well, then reduce heat to medium low. Put the lid on and cook for about 15 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
