Ingredients
9-12lbBone In Spiral Ham (Half Ham)
1CupBrown Sugar
1/4Cup Pineapple Juice (from the can of pineapple rings)
1/4CupMaraschino Cherry Juice
2tbspDijon Mustard
2tbspMaple Syrup (or Honey)
1/2tspGround Cinnamon
1tbspCornstarch
1tbspCold Water
20ozCan of Pineapple Rings in 100% Pineapple Juice
10ozJar of Maraschino Cherries (you will not use the whole jar)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 9x13 baking dish with two long sheets of foil, one lengthwise and one widthwise.
In a saucepan over low heat, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, cherry juice, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl, then stir into the glaze. Simmer another 2 minutes to thicken. Remove from heat.
Place ham cut-side up in the pan. Pour about 1 cup of glaze between slices.
Decorate with pineapple rings and cherries, securing each with toothpicks.
Brush glaze all over the ham, especially the top and front. Loosely cover with foil.
Bake for 1½ hours. Remove from oven, brush on remaining glaze, re-cover loosely, and return to oven for another 1½ hours or until ham reaches 115°F.
Baste with pan juices, let rest for 10–15 minutes, then slice and serve.
