Grilled Cheese Sloppy Joe Sliders

A fun twist on two classics! Sloppy Joes made on buttery soft Kings Hawaiian Rolls with melty cheese for a delicious dinner or treat any day!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 Cup Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 1/4 Cup Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 8 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 12 Count Package of Kings Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3-4 tbsp Mayonnaise or Butter
  • 4-6 Slices Colby Jack Cheese or any flavor you like

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onions, peppers and garlic. Drain the excess grease and add in the next 5 ingredients. Mix well and let it simmer on low.
  • Cut the roll in half and spread the mayo or butter on the insides of them. Heat up a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the mayo side of the top rolls in the pan and cook until golden and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • Place the bottom rolls in the pan. Top with the cheese and the sloppy joe meat. Put the top rolls on, with the cooked side on top. Turn off the heat, Put the lid on and allow the cheese to melt completely. Serve hot and enjoy!
