1Yellow Onion, Diced
6-7Garlic Cloves, minced
1tbspTomato Paste
2tbspsBetter Than Bouillon Italian Herb Seasoningor 2 tbsp dried Italian Seasoning
8ozCan of Basil, Garlic and Oregano flavored tomato sauceor just plain tomato sauce
1pintCherry Tomatoes
1tbspSugar
1/2cupPasta Water
8ozSpaghetti noodles or any other type of pasta you prefer
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onions and garlic. When it is cooked, drain off the excess grease.
Stir in the tomato paste and Italian Herb seasoning, then stir in the cherry tomatoes. Put the lid on, reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
Get your pasta cooking in salted boiling water. Cook until al dente according to the package directions.
Take the lid off the sauce and use a potato masher to mash up the tomatoes. The back of a wooden spoon also works good for this.
Stir in the sugar and the pasta water. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
Stir in the cooked pasta. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
This can be stored in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 4 days.It can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months.To reheat, place it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.
