Ingredients
1lbBacon, chopped into small pieces
1lbGround Beef, or any ground meat of your choice
1Green Bell Pepper, diced
1Yellow Onion, Diced
(2) 28ozCans of any flavor Baked Beans
1CupAny flavor BBQ Sauce
1/4 CupHoney Dijon Mustard
1/4CupBrown Sugar
Seasonings
1tbs eachGarlic Powder, Onion Powder and BBQ Rub
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until nice and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Drain all of the grease
In the same skillet, brown the ground beef with the onions and peppers. Drain the grease and season with the spices listed above.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
You can use the same dish if it is oven safe and large enough. If not follow the next steps.
In a 9x13 baking dish, pour in the baked beans and the rest of the ingredients, including the cooked bacon and ground beef. Stir everything together really well.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Notes
Slow Cooker Instructions: Follow recipe but transfer everything to the slow cooker and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 3-4 hours. Smoker Instructions: Follow recipe but smoke at 225 degrees for about 2 hours.
